Buster's time was running out. After being surrendered to a shelter in Texas, his high energy and curious nature made it difficult to find a family to adopt him, and he was scheduled to be euthanized.
But that would not be the end of Buster's story. His high drive caught the attention of shelter staff, and in a final effort to save him, he earned an interview with the local search & rescue team. Buster had found his calling. He was sent to Ohio to train with Ohio Task Force 1 where he received his FEMA USAR Certification. He has since moved to Tennessee, where he has remained an active member of the K9 SAR Team for more than 11 years, and a beloved family pet.
